Our schools, students, and staff have been put through the wringer over the past few years. As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, we have two choices:

1. Get "back to business" and revert to the old way of doing things like having traditional classrooms that are quite similar to those found 100 years ago.

2. Reimagine how we can experience school, as students and educators.

We need to see and feel the excitement of teaching and learning again! Let's capitalize on lessons learned from COVID-19 and come back better to provide more equitable, innovative, engaging classrooms! Let's reframe our thinking about "getting back to normal" and embrace this "new normal" as an opportunity for change and positive impact. The possibilities are endless if we encourage students to own and direct their learning and employ new strategies for teaching and learning that truly honor the brilliance and talent of our youth.

We can provide students the knowledge and academic skills necessary to thrive, while also developing their social-emotional well- being and work skills and habits that will allow them to excel in an ever-changing world. Our students deserve a better learning experience that allows them to develop into thinkers, problem- solvers, collaborators, and teachers deserve to have their passion for teaching reignited when they get back to energizing and rewarding
task of molding and developing our future!
